Outdoor Activities

Mountain Biking
Turk Station offers over 18 miles of cross country trails for our Mountain Biking guests.  This summer we will be working on our singletrack/downhill area which should be ride ready by this fall.

Hosting Functions
Planning an outdoor wedding? Retirement or birthday party?  Turk Station is an ideal location for your outdoor function.  Turk Station’s catering staff is available to assist you in planning that perfect party.  Please contact us for further details.

Tours
Walking and mountain biking bird and wildlife photo tours are available.  Turk Station also has Habitat Management and Development tours available for land owners wanting to learn more about what they can do to help wildlife on their property.

Golfing
Golfing is available a mere 15 minutes from the Lodge.  Lonesome Dove Golf Course offers a challenging 9 hole par 72, 119 slope rated N.C.G.A. golf course.  Other amenities include a driving range, lessons with PGA professionals, putting green, full service golf shop and snack bar.  We will arrange tee time and cart at your request.

Fishing
Turk Station features a four acre pond for your fishing enjoyment.  While you fish for Largemouth Bass and Blue Gill, you will be able to enjoy a variety of waterfowl species that fly in to visit the pond each day.  All Largemouth Bass is ‘catch and release’.  Blue Gill are available to keep during select times each fall and spring.  Be sure to plan some extra time during your stay with us to enjoy this great fly fishing or conventional tackle fishing experience.

TV/Film
Turk Stations distinct habitat and unique topography offer wonderful opportunities for television, still photography or film productions.  Fees vary depending on time and location needs.
